Once FactoryTalk View has been launched, let’s create a new project. Please be patient when clicking the “New” tab. This could take a few seconds to switch to the “New” tab. Be sure to populate the name of your project, and the panelview type. Then press “Create”. What's new in FactoryTalk View Site Edition v8.0. Here's the new features in ViewSE 8.0 which I found the most interesting: Additional Operating System Support. We finally get Windows 8, 8.1, and Server 2012 support. Of the three, I think Windows Server 2012 is the most essential as 2008 is beginning to show it's age. Client Install Portal. FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition 8.0. Can't take credit for this but...
FT View 8.0 is in 3 RAR's that are posted elsewhere on this forum. But not a patch to crack it as far as I know. I tried installing FT View 7.0 for which there is a patch on this forum for FTA that comes with that version but when I tried to install the FT View 7.0 I have (SR 3), the Sentinel driver outright crashes a Windows 7 VM no matter how I install it. So I was stuck with access to FT View Studio ME 7.0 legit or ME 8.0 illegit but no crack for FTA.
Moving forward, the Romanian web site has the following patch for FTA 3.62.11. I had 3.62.10 so again, there was a problem. Fortunately the only problem was that flexsvr.exe is slightly different. The rest of the files are the same. There are several places where the pattern '55 8B EC' is present but only the very last one needs to be modified.

Incidentally these changes also take care of Logix 5, 500, and 5000 (up to Rev. 19). For rev. 20+, I believe you have to install, then uninstall FTA, then install it from FT View 8.0, then patch as above but as I don't need Studio beyond 19 yet, I haven't tried it.

FT View Studio Ver 8.0.0.
RSView32 project is about 2007 vintage.
From help file:
To import an HMI project to a local station application:In Windows click Start > Rockwell Software > FactoryTalk View > FactoryTalk View Studio.
In the Application Type Selection window, click View Site Edition (Local Station) > Continue.
In the New/Open Site Edition (Local Station) Application window, click the New tab.
Type an application name and description and then click Import.
In the Import File window, click the type of project you plan to import and then click Next.
In the Import project window, beside the Project file field, click the browse button (...) to browse for the project files that are available and select one.
Click Finish.
I've done this and the displays have all imported but no tags. I know that the RSView32 project is reading the PLC via RSLinx.
Any ideas?
